The company's origins can be traced to 1911, when Carl A. Grundén, the son of a fisherman from Grundsund on Sweden's west coast, began producing waterproof oilskin clothing for fishermen working in harsh North Sea conditions. In 1926, he formally established Grundéns Regnkläder AB. The company has developed from traditional waterproof fishing clothing into a broader technical-performance brand.
